Poetry Month (Special Interest)

While the United States first recognized April as National Poetry month in 1996, Canada followed shortly after in 1998. It was started by the League of Canadian Poets who offer a poetry theme annually. This year the theme is weather.

While the poems below do not fall under that theme, they were written around the theme of Beginnings -symbolic of spring.
