The weather may be a little cold and gloomy at the moment, but isn't it wonderful that we are seeing signs of Summer. Spring started with the pussy willows and the robins making their appearance. And now, despite this stretch of chilly weather we are having, the blossoms are out, many species of birds are back, there is warmth to the sun, the grass is green and the leaves on trees are starting to pop.

We are starting to see the fruit of our labour on the farm. The few vegetables are coming up beautifully and we look forward to planting more once we have warmer weather. I find being in the garden relaxing and it grounds me. I love the heat of the sun and being in barefeet. I have more energy to do things I enjoy.
There is just something about watching the rebirth of nature that makes us have
hope, gratitude and inspiration. Waking up to hearing the birds singing, smelling the lilacs and roses, and seeing the sun shining, it is truly such a beautiful time of year.
It's like Summer is a feeling, not just a season.
Barbecues, beach days, lounging by the pool, campfires and spending more time in the fresh air are what I look forward to.
“If there’s heaven for me, I’m sure it has a beach attached to it.” – Jimmy Buffett
Unfortunately, we have to put up with the blackflies, mosquitoes and TICKS!
