Hope

by Cathy Arscott

I found this Winter to be very difficult. I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and struggled with depression.

It was cold, LONG and depressing. Honestly, it felt that January had 500 days.

I fell, dislocated my shoulder and blackened my eye, so that just amplified every negative feeling and self pity, I could muster.

With that being said, no matter how difficult the Winter was and the complete inconvenience I am experiencing now, I have to take on, for my own mental health, a new perspective. And that is not easy.

Holding onto hope. Sometimes, hope is the bravest thing we can hold onto. It's not about ignoring reality but believing in the blessings that will eventually come.

It is recognizing the pain we feel today, whether it is physical, mental or emotional, is a sign that we are moving, growing and still fighting.

True strength isn't just about holding on. It is also knowing that we are strong enough to face whatever tomorrow brings.

So, we hold on to HOPE. Not because Life is easy, because it certainly isn't, but because we are tougher than anything it throws our way.

Our heart's resilience is our superpower, even when we feel it's been shattered. If we embrace it, hope will be the light that guides us through the darkest times.

We keep fighting for ourselves and make it through anything. Whatever challenge we are facing right now, we can make it through this too.

Hold

On

Pain

Ends

God bless.
